Bonjour et bienvenue 🙂
(Hello and welcome)

Visiting a foreign country and speaking the local language is one of the most exciting things you can do. That incredible feeling is now available to you as well!

It is my pleasure to introduce myself to you as Kieran Ball and I have been teaching foreign languages for over fifteen years now. Learning languages, teaching languages, and teaching people is what I love. I love chocolate too, but this isn’t the place to discuss my addiction.

Three Minute French was created so that learning French would be easier, more accessible and more enjoyable than ever before, especially for those who have tried and failed in the past. The 3 Minute French – Course 1 | Language lessons for beginners course is suitable for complete beginners, because I break down the French language into tiny bits that I show you how to construct back into whole words in a logical, easy-to-understand manner. The process of learning French doesn’t take long. You can put together your own sentences in just a few minutes. I will show you what I mean if you watch the free video preview lessons below.

Since I want everyone to see that they can learn French, I made the first fifteen videos in this 3 Minute French – Course 1 | Language lessons for beginners course available as free previews. You can even watch them without signing up. Let me just show you how easy it is to learn French, even if nothing else.

Its name implies that each lesson will last no more than three minutes (more or less). During each lesson a small piece of French is introduced that can be used to create sentences. Throughout the 3 Minute French – Course 1 | Language lessons for beginners course, you will learn more and more little chunks and your sentences will gradually become longer.

It is important to carry through the chunks you learn in the first lessons to the last lessons. Therefore, you won’t have to worry about trying to remember everything; you’ll have so much opportunity to practice that the words and phrases will just sink into your head.

This 3 Minute French – Course 1 | Language lessons for beginners course provides you with the skills you need to communicate effectively in real-life situations, with lessons that are focused, practical and effective. Every time you’re in a French-speaking nation, you’ll be able to communicate comfortably and confidently.

You tend to be excited and motivated at the beginning of learning something new. After learning for a few hours on the first day, you may only be able to manage one hour the next day, and that goes down to half an hour, and then you give up because you’re bored. There are several reasons why we have very short lessons. One is that it helps you stay motivated, and another is that you will learn more.

When you keep your learning into short chunks, you’ll find three wonderful things begin to happen:

1. You will maintain enthusiasm

If you want to learn anything, then you need to maintain your enthusiasm or you won’t succeed. Studying French for less than three minutes per day keeps French interesting and exciting, and keeps you eager to learn. After spending hours studying, French will become boring for you, and you’ll soon find it a chore.

2. You will study more consistently

Studying for just three minutes once a day is much better than studying for three hours once a week. The best schedules may be crammed with a lot of tasks but finding three minutes is relatively easy. Make sure you complete at least one three-minute study session every day, and it will soon become a habit that you’ll do without thinking about it. Three minute habits are much easier to implement than one hour habits on a weekly basis. This will help you become a confident, consistent learner, and consistency is crucial for your success.

3. You will remember things better

The reason I like to recommend only studying for about three minutes at a time is because of this. Studying something every day for just three minutes will trick your brain into memorizing the information much more quickly than if it were to see it for hours each day. When it sees this information every day, it will think, “I see it every day, so it must be important, but I don’t see it for very long, so I need to make it into a memory quickly!”.I assure you that if you focus on just three minutes every day, you will be amazed at how much easier things will become ingrained in your brain.

So, that’s why I keep the lessons to just three minutes.
